INTERFERENTIAL MUSCLE STIMULATION

Interferential muscle stimulation is used to produce muscle contraction, stretching of fibrotic tissue, and hyperemia. Interferential muscle stimulation is helpful to block pain, reduce swelling, and inflammation. It promotes muscle tone and speeds up the healing process. It also stimulates muscle by supplying an artificial contraction or spasms in or to fatigue the muscles, which are in spasms.
